Every school is unique and has its own challenges when it comes to changing education. SLED is a student organization focused on positioning students to go out and solve educational problems facing their school. SLED students’ primary objective is to develop and implement project ideas that create a positive change in education.
Through workshops, keynotes, innovation stations, escape experiences, brainstorms, and pitches, we teach students to get outside of their comfort zone while learning project management, effective communication, problem-solving, and much more.
Calling students to a higher standard of active engagement in their education, we facilitate a district panel for students and administrators to discuss a perfect educational environment and why they're not there yet.
Student teams create and pitch, then implement through the year, projects addressing their school's biggest challenges. From bullying to funding to technology integration, students are leading the change they want to see.
The skills our students gained during this 3-day training are invaluable in their journey to being leaders of change in our school. The iSchool team was very easy to work with and their energy was infectious.

I believe I personally gained a better understanding of how technology can be used in my school.
I also learned how to be able to communicate my ideas effectively through a presentation.
